Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Last Updated: January 2026

Our commitment

Arbor Communications Ltd is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and are committed to preventing these practices within our business and our supply chains.

We recognise our responsibility under the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and support its aims to eradicate modern slavery and promote transparency.

Our business and structure

Arbor is a UK-based, senior-led growth communications studio. We specialise in fast, focused “Impact Sprints” that help organisations turn strategy into commercially effective content and communications outcomes.

Our team is deliberately small and senior, and we work with a limited number of trusted freelance specialists and suppliers where needed.

Our supply chains

Our supply chains are relatively straightforward and low-risk compared to product-based industries. They primarily include:

  • Freelance consultants and communications specialists

  • Creative and production partners (e.g. design, video, digital)

  • Software and data providers

  • Professional services (e.g. legal, finance)

We do not manufacture physical goods or operate in industries typically associated with higher risks of modern slavery.

Risk assessment

Given the nature of our business, we consider the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations to be low. However, we recognise that risk can exist within extended supply chains, particularly where:

  • Work is outsourced internationally

  • Production involves third-party contractors

  • Digital or creative work is delivered through layered supplier structures

We remain vigilant to these risks and take a proportionate approach to managing them.

Our approach and controls

To mitigate risk, we apply the following principles:

Careful supplier selection
We work with known, reputable partners and prioritise long-term relationships with individuals and organisations we trust.

Expectation setting
We expect all suppliers to operate in line with applicable laws and ethical standards, including fair labour practices.

Commercial transparency
Our model is built around senior, accountable delivery with minimal layers, reducing exposure to opaque supply chains.

Ongoing awareness
We remain alert to potential risks and will take action if concerns are identified, including reviewing or terminating supplier relationships where appropriate.

Policies and governance

As a small, senior-led business, we operate with clear accountability and direct oversight. Our approach to ethical business practices is embedded in how we work rather than governed by extensive formal policy frameworks.

Where appropriate, we will continue to formalise and evolve our policies in line with business growth and regulatory expectations.

Training and awareness

Given the size and seniority of our team, formal training programmes are not currently in place. However, all team members sign a Code of Conduct annually and are expected to:

  • Act with integrity and professional judgement

  • Raise any concerns relating to unethical practices

  • Be aware of the principles underpinning modern slavery legislation

Ongoing commitment

We review this statement annually and update it as our business grows or our risk profile changes.
